Preparing your congregation to be mobilized for local disasters ranging from individuals to entire communities. This is a strategic initiative to help churches establish and equip a team of first responders in cooperation with the Tri-county Emergency Operations Centers. Dorchester County is taking the lead to equip all Tri-county residents by establishing point leaders for each church. Your church is being asked to send a representative to an in-person orientation on June 30, 2025 from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. The goal is to create a church-based team-response to community needs, crises and disasters.

This meeting will be held at the Dorchester County Emergency Operations Center: 212 Deming Way, Summerville 29483. Chuck Coward, former outreach director for the CBA will be leading this initiative.
